I’m rounding up a few of my favorite things at the moment. Everything I am sharing are items I own and love. I’m also including my current favorite entertainment selections for reading, watching and listening. Continue reading to find out what I’m currently coveting this October!

REBECCA MINKOFF EDIE QUILTED LEATHER SHOULDER BAG
I’m really excited about this bag by Rebecca Minkoff. The Edie Quilted Leather Shoulder bag comes in two sizes and a few colors. I was surprised to read the negative reviews of this bag because I fell it love with it the minute I ripped open the box. A lot of the reviews mention that the magnetic closure is too difficult to open. I must have gotten lucky because I have had no issues with this.
Although I originally planned to buy the smaller version, I purchased the larger bag and got it for over 60% off! I love that the strap can convert between a shoulder bag and a crossbody bag. It has two interior compartments, a middle zipper section and a small zippered pocket inside. The back of the bag has a slip pocket (perfectly fits my iPhone 8 Plus). This bag will be great for heading into the holiday season. It can go from casual day bag to evening holiday party bag with a switch of the strap!
PODCAST: MY DAD WROTE A PORNO
Do you love podcasts? They’re my absolute favorite form of entertainment. I always download a handful of episodes before a flight. I get really bored watching movies and while I enjoy reading, podcasts are my current jam. Enter (no pun intended 😂), My Dad Wrote a Porno.
This podcast is hosted by Jamie Morton. The premise? His dad actually wrote a porno, so each episode he reads one chapter. Two of his friends join him each week to discuss the chapters and hilarity ensues. Plus, they’re British, and I just love their accents. I normally listen to true crime, but this is a fun, lighthearted change!
I have a secret skill I’ve been hiding, I’m an expert-level Netflix binger! Super impressive, I know. Paul and I will get through a new series usually within a week or two. Unbelievable is just that – unbelievable! I don’t want to ruin the show for anyone who hasn’t watched it yet, but I will give you a brief synopsis. This series covers the true story of a young rape victim as she faces injustice in all areas of her life.
MADEWELL HARPER MULES
Looking for a new pair of shoes for fall that aren’t your typical booties? I have just the shoe! The Harper Mules by Madewell are a great option for fall… and even winter for those living in warmer climates. These are my first pair of heeled mules and I’m really loving this look.
The Harper Mules come in three colors; black, brown and tan. These run TTS – remember, leather will stretch so you don’t want to go too big. I normally wear a 7 and I bought these in a 7. They look great with jeans & a tee or even a midi dresses!
This Barbour Beadnell jacket has been on my radar for a few years now and I finally made my move. I wore it when we went to Iceland and it was perfect! I love the classic preppy look of this jacket, it will never go out of style! The inside is lined with a beautiful plaid print. Barbour makes a few similar styles but this one has a more feminine silhouette and it comes in olive, sage and navy.
I have olive and I recommend sizing up one size. This style is meant to be slightly oversize and it runs just a bit small. I normally wear a size 2 or a 4 and I bought this in a 6. Its surprisingly warm for how lightweight it is, but Barbour also has accessories you can buy; a vest insert and a detachable hood are on my list!
GLOSSIER BOY BROW
I’ve been using Glossier’s coveted Boy Brow for well over a year now and I don’t think I’ll ever stop! I start by filing in my eyebrows with a brow pencil and then I go over them with Boy Brow, in brown (it also comes in clear, blonde and black). It has a thick, pomade texture and holds my brows in place all day. It’s pretty affordable and I love the packaging.
BOOK: THE YEAR OF LIVING DANISHLY
This was a unique read for me but I really loved it. It’s written by Helen Russel and it follows her journey from living in deary, fast-paced London, to living in a remote Danish town with her husband. During her year in Denmark, she sets out to discover why Denmark is the happiest country in the world. The book is funny, endearing and full of great insights that can help us all be a little happier! Find it on Kindle or paperback here.
