On the blog today, I am sharing travel-inspired Valentine’s Day gifts for the man in your life. I know my husband is so hard to shop for, anyone else in the same (love)boat? If you’re looking for something for a special lady in your life (or even something for yourself!), check out last weeks post here. And now without further ado, continue reading for a list of my favorite travel gifts for men below!
This is *so basic*… but everyone loves to smell good! I prefer to buy the “carry-on sized” bottles of cologne so my husband never has to stress about bringing cologne on his trips. And, since the smaller size will go quicker, you can try more colognes throughout the year!
Paul has never been a big fan of traditional wallets. He had this old Tumi money clip for the first 9 years of our relationship! I don’t typically use a wallet for more than a few months at a time, so the fact that he made it over a decade with the same one is pretty impressive! I bought him this classic, functional Burberry money clip. At first I was a little worried he wouldn’t want to part with Mr. Tumi, but luckily he fell in love quickly. The clip keeps cash firmly in place and it has space for 4+ cards. It’s thin, lightweight, practical and looks really sharp!
I used to think backpacks were so nerdy. Personally, I stopped using one in junior high and had to carry everythiiiiiing and it was a nightmare. Now, I realize how practical they are, and, there are even some nice looking ones out there on the market. Patagonia is known for rugged outdoor wear, which luckily makes the perfect travel backpack. Paul loves the spacious size of this bag without it being too big. It fits his laptop (in a separate padded compartment), and still has plenty of room for clothes, headphones, sunglasses, etc. The bag also has an outer water bottle spot and tons of extra little pockets.
We love having a portable speaker. It’s perfect for tailgating, laying by the pool, and even for vacation. This bad boy is perfect for a few reasons; 1. Small in size 2. Waterproof 3. WiFi and Bluetooth compatible. And it comes in quite a few colors so you can pick the perfect one.
Monogrammed Passport and Luggage Tag
Never underestimate the functionality of a passport holder and luggage tag. Whenever I throw my passport in my bag, I know it’ll be protected from bends and tears inside of the passport holder. Luggage tags are also a great accessory when traveling. Although I’ve gotten really good at spotting my bag, it’s always nice to have a high-quality tag. This option is perfect because it’s not only a matching set, but you can also have it personalized with his monogram! The sets come in a variety of colors, so no matter who you are shopping for, you are sure to find the right color!
Maybe not a huge necessity in Arizona this time of year (it’s already been in the mid-80’s), but our evenings are still on the cooler side… which makes a cozy pullover perfect. Here I go again with Patagonia, but I really love their products! This pullover is both comfortable and versatile. It’s great for a chilly plane, evening walks (hopefully exploring a new city), or even with jeans for a casual Sunday brunch.
Now that I’ve gone through this list, I realize maybe guys aren’t so hard to shop for… well, less hard, ha! I hope everyone has a great Valentine’s Day, no matter what your plans involve! We have dinner reservations at a nice little local restaurant here in Scottsdale.
