While fall doesn’t officially begin for another few weeks, I’m still counting down the days! Today I’m sharing a list of things I’m currently coveting for the upcoming season. Sweatshirts, leggings, and entertainment await, all perfect fall accessories… for a road-trip, perhaps?!
Currently Coveting: Fall Edition
I’m going to lose major street-cred over this, but I’m obsessed with the Netflix original To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. The cast is amazing, the story line is completely adorable, and five-words: Woah, Woah, Woah, PETER. KAVINSKY. #swoon
Sharp Objects. I actually disliked the book Sharp Objects (all of her books, to be honest). But the show is so well done. Amy Adams is great and I’m obsessed with Amma…. like how does she manage to make rollerblading through rural Missouri look SO cool?! And since the series ended just a couple of weeks ago, it’s the perfect binge-worthy show!
This sounds a little nerdy, but I love to read historical non-fiction books about World War II. So when I heard about this book, I thought it would be a fun change for me! Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows tells the tale of a young Indian woman living in London. After the death of her father, she takes on a job as a creative writing instructor in the heart of a close-knit Punjabi community.
One of her students comes across a book of erotic stories, thus prompting the untold fantasies of these typically reserved women. The women are instructed to keep their new hobby from the conservative men in the community, who are less than open to these sexy ideas. When gossip turn to the news of a missing young woman in their community, they realize they may all be in danger.
Grab this book before your next long-haul flight. Or better yet, rent a digital copy from your library! I use (and love) the Overdrive App. It’s been a staple on my phone and iPad for over five years!
This lightweight crew sweatshirt from Everlane is perfect for early fall mornings. It’s slightly cropped and looks great with high-waisted dark denim while strolling through a museum. Or pair it with black leggings… perfect for a red-eye flight! Comfortable, classic, and chic!
These Lululemon leggings have been a serious obsession of mine ever since they came out! I’ve been traveling a lot lately and they’re my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE travel pants. They’re sleeker than normal leggings and so soft & comfortable. They feel like BUTTAH. I own multiple pairs and they’re in great shape, especially considering how often I wear these.
I ordered a pair of metallic Birkenstocks and I cannot get enough of them. I love how comfortable they are, and the metallic coloring makes them feel less “granola-y”. If you’re planning to order a pair, I recommend ordering the Soft Bed soles. They have extra cushion, making them really, well, soft! It feels as if a gel is molding to your feet.
I’m super excited about these Cress Green Old Skool Vans. The color is so fun for fall. And even though I love lime-y/mustard shades, they don’t look good on my skin tone – which is why a pair of shoes is perfect! It adds the pop of color. And since they’re on my feet, they don’t conflict with my pale complexion!
I should feel like a huge poser for buying the Fjällräven Mini Kanken bag – but how could I care when it’s SO cute?! The mini Kanken in Graphite is a beautiful blueish-grey color. It’s lightweight and the small size is perfect for running around town. A 20 ounce water bottle fits easily inside with room for my camera, small wallet, and a scarf or flannel for cold flights.
It has two top-handles and I often find myself carrying it that way! I also love that I can just fling it over one shoulder if I’m in a hurry. Fjällräven focuses on being a sustainable and ethical company. And they’re aiming to save the Arctic Fox! This classic Swedish bag is one you’ll feel great about adding to your closet.
